When troubleshooting an issue with Informant, you may be asked to send the Informant error logs to the Informant customer support team.


Follow these steps to locate and send these error logs.


Open the error log folder


  1. Log into the computer where you encountered the issue.
  2. Click the Windows Start menu.
  3. Type "Informant Log Files" and click Informant Log Files when it appears: this will open the folder containing the Informant error logs.


ZIP the log files


  1. Press Ctrl+A to select all the files in the folder. 
  2. Right-click and select Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder. A .zip file will be created in the folder.
  3. Enter a new name for this file (such as "InformantErrorLog.zip") and press Enter.


Email the ZIP file


Now, you can email the .zip file to [email protected].
