Our customer support team may ask you for a screenshot or screenshots from your computer when troubleshooting software issues with you.
Use this guide to learn how to take screenshots.
Take a full-screen screenshot
To take a full-screen screenshot (everything on your screen):
- Press Windows + PrtScn on your keyboard. This captures the entire screen and copies it to your clipboard.
- Paste the screenshot into an email or a document with Ctrl+V.
- Send the email or document with the screenshot to our support team.
Take a screenshot of the current window
- Click on the window you want to capture to make sure it's active.
- Press Alt + PrtScn on your keyboard. This captures the current window and copies it to your clipboard.
- Paste the screenshot into an email or a document with Ctrl+V.
- Send the email or document with the screenshot to our support team.
Use the Snipping Tool
- Type "Snipping Tool" in the Windows Start menu and select Snipping Tool when it appears.
- Click on New in the Snipping Tool window.
- Click and drag to select the area you want to capture.
- Release the mouse button to take the screenshot.
- You can save the image directly from the Snipping Tool, or copy it to the clipboard to then paste it into an email or document.
- Send the email or document with the screenshot to our support team.
